Meet Debra: Acclaimed Writer, Performer, and Improv Educator

Debra is a writer and performer with a global reach. Her comedy career began with classes at the Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles, where she honed her craft in numerous renowned improv and sketch comedy groups, including Monkey with a Shotgun and The Gay Mafia.

She has graced the stage at the Women’s Funny Festival in Chicago and had her work featured at prestigious events like the Palm Springs Film Festival and LA Shorts Fest.

This success led her to write longer-form comedy screenplays, some of which were optioned by production companies and directors. Among her roles, she considers being mother to six children one of her funniest and most rewarding experiences. Debra has traveled extensively with her family, teaching improv classes in the United States, France, Mexico, and Portugal.
